Watan also aims to support local organisation and so one way it is doing that is by working with the Kafr Takharim Hospital, affiliated with SEMA, by providing two intensive care units with full equipment. Each unit includes equipment such as a ventilator, an intensive care bed, devices to monitor pulse, pressure, and vital signs. The two units started being used at the beginning of last August.
This contribution was made with the aim of helping accommodate the increasing number of cases infected with Covid-19, as reports indicate that the number of infected cases increased to 100 by the end of August.
Kafr Takharim Hospital is one of four hospitals specialized in receiving Corona patients in north-western Syria.
